Paths of Courage Residential Healing Program pioneered by SACQD

The Paths of Courage Residential Healing and Retreat Centre program is a week long program for survivors of sexual violence in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. This one of a kind program was pioneered by the Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District, with the intent to provide survivors with safe opportunities to heal from the impacts of sexual violence and continue on their journey towards self-awareness and wholeness.

2023 Marks 10 Years

2023 marks 10 years since Paths of Courage first opened its doors to survivors. It has been an honour and privilege for SACQD staff to witness the amazing transformations that have taken place over the past decade during the Paths of Courage programs. To commemorate this significant moment, we will be hosting an open house at our Paths of Courage Retreat Centre location.

Open House Event

Coinciding with Sexual Violence Prevention Month, we are welcoming community members and partners to an open house event at our Paths of Courage location on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Everyone is welcome, and the address (in Prince Edward County) will be shared upon RSVP. You may RSVP via Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/paths-of-courage-healing-retreat-centre-open-house-tickets-602867642347, or by emailing Jocelyn at [email protected].

This event will include a welcome and brief speeches, time for self-guided tours of the property/program elements, with information shared by staff along the way, and refreshments provided by our amazing Paths of Courage cook.

We can’t wait to share this amazing space and program with you!
