Join us for a special screening of Sarah Polley’s Academy Award Winning film WOMEN TALKING presented by the Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District at the Regent Theatre in Picton (224 Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0).

May is Sexual Violence Prevention Month and proceeds from this screening go toward SACQD.

WOMEN TALKING is a vital film adapted from the novel of the same name by Miriam Toews. It follows a group of women from an isolated community as they grapple with reconciling a brutal reality with their faith and highlights the power of coming together and talking in response to harm.

A Q&A with the film’s editor Chris Donaldson will follow the screening.

Books & Company will be on hand selling copies of Miriam Towes’ acclaimed novel before the film.

Please note: This is a Pay What You Can (PWYC) event. Cash will be accepted at the door.

When: Monday, May 8, 2023

Where: 224 Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0

Doors open at 6:30PM and the event starts at 7:00PM.

We hope to see you there!
